Here at McAuley Hall, we offer state-of-the-art rehabilitation through Genesis Rehab Services, one of America's most successful providers of therapeutic care.

We strive to help our residents attain their highest level of physical functionality following an illness, hospitalization, or surgery by providing a mix of physical, occupational and speech/language therapies. If you're being discharged from a hospital, McAuley Hall can help "bridge the gap" between hospital and home and give you the tools needed to get back on your feet again. Our expert therapists will work one-on-one with you, in regular, intensive sessions, to help you achieve your goals for strength, flexibility, endurance and mobility. With patience and persistence, you'll be amazed at how well you'll progress!

Physical Therapy

Provides individualized therapeutic treatment to restore function for individuals who have experienced neuromuscular or skeletal dysfunction.  Your individualized program may include:
  • Mobility Training
  • Gait Stability and Balance Restoration
  • Physical Conditioning
  • Neuromuscular Training
  • Posture and Positioning
  • Therapeutic Exercises to increase muscle function, coordination and endurance
  • Joint and soft tissue mobilization to increase range of motion

Occupational Therapy

Focuses on increasing, enhancing and adapting task development skills to increase the level of independence and autonomy. Your individualized program may include:
  • Education and training in dressing, bathing, eating and grooming
  • Adaptive techniques or equipment to overcome physical disabilities
  • Splinting
  • Rehabilitative Dining
  • Activities for memory, orientation and cognitive integration
  • Strengthening and coordination exercises
  • Exercises to reduce the effects of arthritis
